Very late to the hotpot party as I know this location has been here for awhile! Been going around the suburbs trying out all the hot pot places like HaiDiLao, Nan, Liuyishou, Shoo Loong Kan, etc. This place had a refreshingly simple and straight forward pricing. The price included everything so broth and sauces weren't extra like some of the other places and that made the value aspect nicer! We also loved how thick the meat was sliced, definitely noticeabley thicker than some of the other places. Service was solid too and we would recommend this place to anyone!
The soup base is very flavorful, and the pricing is pretty fair: $19.99 per person for the AYCE lunch special. If you are in the mood for some wagyu they also have three different set meals for the latter including all the previous ones. The meat always tastes fresh, and the portions are very filling.
This hotpot place is legit.! Good quality wagyu meat for $40, it includes the soup and drinks and dessert. Definitely will be coming back.
There's a lot going on. Couldn't enjoy spicey Thai pot. It was too spicy for me. I eat spicey food. So if an Asian or African says it's not Spicey. Don't get it. Great atmosphere.. huge selection. There hour 30 time limit. Parking is plenty. Patient and curtious staff. Not over priced. We arrived at 4. After 6 it got crowded. Kbbq could use more variety. ButI'm guessing the hot pot is the star of the show and it was!
Really high quality meat for the price, the best thing is that all drinks are included. They even have boba and herb tea. Definitely worth the price, would come back with friend again
Square Hot Pot - A Fantastic Experience! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Square Hot Pot in Plano, and it was a truly great experience from start to finish! The ambiance of the restaurant is really inviting, with a classic hot pot feel. The lanterns and brick walls create a warm and cozy atmosphere that's perfect for a meal with friends or family. But of course, the food is the star! The selection of meats was impressive, with beautifully presented plates of thinly sliced beef, including what looked like delicious short ribs and sukiyaki-style cuts. The quality was evident, and everything was incredibly fresh. They also offer a good variety of other hot pot essentials, including fresh greens like lettuce and an assortment of other items such as seafood (mussels and squid), tofu, and various hot pot balls. And for those who enjoy other dishes, the Gyūdon was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked beef and onions over rice, topped with green onions and sesame seeds. The hot pot itself was excellent, with a flavorful broth. I especially loved the unique touch of the dragon-head tongs, adding a cool element to the dining experience. Overall, Square Hot Pot delivers a fantastic hot pot experience. Great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and attentive service make it a must visit in Plano. Highly recommend!
If you love beef and spicy food you will love this place>✪ω✪< Fresh vegetables. Good service. Free drinks. Absolutely will come back again.
There's a few hot pot restaurants in this area between Coit and highway 75 that I frequent, but if I had to choose just one, Squares would be my choice. It's cozy on the inside, and servers usually give you more attention than other places. I've never had to wait for a table before (though I have seen a line after being seated). We've had the a-la-carte and all-you-can-eat options and both are decently priced. Although I like my broth spicy, others in the family can't handle the heat. Fortunately, there's a divider so you can order both at the same table. All the protein dishes are delicious while the vegetable portions are very generous. And, of course, no hot pot is complete without the sauce bar. They have the usual chilli oil, garlic, cilantro, peanuts, green onions, etc. as well as French fries, sesame balls, shrimp chips, and dessert.
